Application, Removal & Reuse Guide

Step 1 — Nail Preparation

Clean nails are the single biggest factor in how well press-ons hold.

  1. Remove any existing polish and wash hands thoroughly.
  2. Gently push back cuticles with the included tool — do not cut.
  3. Lightly buff the surface of each nail to remove shine.
  4. Wipe each nail with a cotton pad moistened with rubbing alcohol or nail-prep solution and let dry completely. Skip lotion, oils, and water contact for at least 30 minutes before applying.

Step 2 — Size Selection

  1. Before applying any adhesive, lay out one press-on per nail and confirm the fit. The press-on should cover the full nail bed from side wall to side wall without touching skin.
  2. File the sides of a press-on slightly if it is a close fit — filing skin contact prevents early lifting.

Step 3 — Adhesive Choice

This kit includes both adhesive tabs and nail glue. Choose based on your needs:

  • Adhesive tabs — recommended for first-time use, short-term wear, or when you plan to reuse the nails. Press firmly for 10–15 seconds per nail. Avoid water for at least 1 hour after application.
  • Nail glue — recommended for longer hold or more active days. Apply a thin line of glue to the press-on (not the natural nail), press firmly for 15–20 seconds, and avoid water for at least 2 hours after application.

Note: Nail glue bonds more strongly than tabs. If you plan to reuse the press-ons, adhesive tabs are the better choice.

Step 4 — Application

  1. Starting at the cuticle end, align the press-on at a slight angle, then press down and hold firmly. Apply pressure from the center outward to push out any air bubbles.
  2. Work from pinky to thumb on each hand.
  3. Once all nails are on, press each one firmly one more time.

Removal — Adhesive Tabs

  1. Soak fingertips in warm, soapy water for 5–10 minutes to loosen the tab.
  2. Gently rock the press-on side to side — do not pull straight up or force it off.
  3. If resistance remains, soak for another few minutes before trying again.

Removal — Nail Glue

  1. Soak fingertips in warm, soapy water for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Apply a small amount of cuticle oil or acetone-based nail polish remover around the edges and allow it to work under the press-on for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Gently rock and wiggle the press-on from side to side until it lifts. Do not pry or force.
  4. Never pull press-ons off dry. Forcing removal without soaking can damage the natural nail.

Adhesive Residue Cleanup

  • On natural nails: Gently buff away any remaining tab adhesive with the included buffer. For glue residue, apply a drop of acetone-free nail polish remover, let it sit for 30 seconds, then wipe with a cotton pad. Finish with cuticle oil.
  • On press-on nails (for reuse): Peel off the used adhesive tab by hand. For stubborn residue, use a cuticle stick to gently lift edges — do not soak the press-ons in acetone as this can damage the finish.

Gentle Reuse

  • Press-ons applied with adhesive tabs can typically be reused. After removal, clean off the old tab and allow the press-on to dry fully before storing.
  • Inspect each nail for cracks or warping before reuse — damaged nails will not adhere flat and should be replaced.
  • Store cleaned press-ons in their original tray or a small, dry container away from humidity to keep their shape.
  • Always use a fresh adhesive tab (not the used one) for each reapplication.
